Growing up in Edo State, Solomon Okoesen Daniel had to face the challenges of a broken family. His parents separated when he was just one year old, and he was raised by his grandparents in Esan until the age of 16. Despite these early obstacles, OK3Y Sounds remained determined to pursue his dreams and carve a path for himself in the world of music.
OK3Y Sounds completed his high school education at Irena High School in Ewatto, where he discovered his passion for both football and music. While he excelled as a football player, winning the prestigious “Most Valuable Player” award in a local tournament, it was his love for music that ultimately took centre stage in his life. OK3Y Sounds found solace and inspiration in the world of melodies, rhythms, and lyrics, and he knew that his future lay in the pursuit of a musical career.
In 2022, OK3Y Sounds released his debut EP, captivating listeners with his unique blend of Afrobeat, Hip-Hop, and R&B influences. However, he recently underwent a transformative stage in his career, leading him to rebrand himself as OK3Y Sounds. With this new moniker, he is set to re-release his debut EP, “Aspire,” on the 21st of this month, reintroducing his fans to his exceptional musical talent.
