The National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted full accreditation status to Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Anambra State, for its various academic programs during the recent exercise conducted in October and November 2024.

The results were communicated via a memo from the Acting Director of Accreditation, Engr. Abraham Chundusu, on behalf of the Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission, dated April 29, 2025.

According to  statement signed by the University Public Relations Officer (PRO), Dr. Harrison Madubueze, the accredited programs include; M.Sc. in Accounting, M.Sc. in Public Administration, Nursing Sciences, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Physiology, as well as teacher education in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Economics.

Others are; Urban and Regional Planning, Medicine and Surgery, Geology, and Statistics.

Madubueze stated that the University Management led by the Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. Kate Omenugha is very much excited over the development and has expressed deep gratitude to the Visitor of the University and Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, for his invaluable support that contributed significantly to this achievement.
