Ohaa visits NDC attack victims in Enugu, pays hospital bills

Ohaa speaking with party faithful after the visit

The governorship candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Enugu State, Sir Chinyeaka Ohaa, has visited party members receiving treatment following a September 12 attack on an NDC ward meeting in Obuoffia, Nkanu West Local Government Area.

Ohaa visited the injured members at a hospital in Agbani, covered their medical bills, and assured them of continued support throughout their recovery. The attack occurred at Ihuani Awkunanaw, Obuoffia, during the party’s monthly ward meeting, leaving eight members with gunshot wounds.

Speaking during the visit, Ohaa noted that he came not only as a candidate but as a concerned citizen and son of Nkanuland.

“I saw their pain. No political ambition is worth the blood of an Enugu citizen,” he said.

He expressed deep concern over political violence, stating that political disagreements should never result in harm to citizens. He urged security agencies to conduct a thorough and impartial investigation, ensuring that all perpetrators are prosecuted according to the law regardless of their political connections.
