The Ogun State Polytechnic of Health and Allied Sciences, OSPOHAS, Ilese-Ijebu, has inaugurated its chapter of the Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Polytechnics (SSANIP).

The inauguration followed the successful elections of its pioneer executives led by the chairman, Olumide Abiodun.

Speaking during the inauguration of the maiden executive members, Abiodun said he was delighted with the joining of the SSANIP at the mainstream by his branch and commended the National Vice President/South West Coordinator of SSANIP, Bankole Matthew Ayodeji, represented byTunde Talabi, Ogun State chairman, and other representatives of the national body who graced the branch inauguration.

He promised to reciprocate the good gesture of the National Executive Council of the Association by ensuring that his branch abides by the provisions of the SSANIP Constitution and other extant laws of the union.

The new chairman thanked the management of the institution under the leadership of Dr Akimbo Rasaki Yinka, the Rector and his team for creating a conducive environment for labour to thrive.

He, however, assured that SSANIP on the campus will always tow the path of dialogue to resolve labour related matters with the management as the first option.

Abiodun further pledged to uphold the constitution of the union and ensure justice, equity and fairness for all members in every circumstance, assuring members of an open and transparent administration while unveiling his four points agenda which is captured with the acronym “TREA” which stands for Transparency, Responsive Leadership, Empowerment and Accountability.

Other members of the executives inaugurated are Adebimpe Odeseye (Vice Chairman), Babawande Ogunyanwo (Secretary) and Alice Olaoye (Assistant Secretary).

Also inaugurated are Adekemi Goriola (Treasurer), Odetunde Afolashade (Financial Secretary), Adeniyi Adeiku (Auditor) and Wale Taiwo (Publicity Secretary).
