The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for Ogun State, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, has called on party members across Ogun West Senatorial District to remain united, embrace new entrants and intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The senator made the call during the Ogun West APC Stakeholders’ Consultative Meeting held at the Asade Agunloye Pavilion, Empire Ground, Ilaro, which brought together party leaders and members from Imeko-Afon, Ipokia, Ado-Odo/Ota, Yewa North and Yewa South local government areas.
Addressing party faithful, Senator Adeola urged them to speedily integrate new entrants from other political parties into the APC, stressing that every committed member has a role to play in strengthening the party’s structure across the state.
“The strength of our party lies in our unity, not in our differences. Every genuine member who embraces the ideals of the APC deserves equal respect and an opportunity to contribute. Let our guiding principle be ‘Don’t leave anybody behind.’ We must put aside personal interests, avoid divisions, and work together with one purpose, to deliver good governance and secure greater victories for our people,” he said.
The meeting was attended by the APC Apex Leader in Ogun West, Chief Muftau Ajibola; the party’s deputy governorship candidate, Mrs. Kudirat Abiodun Adegunwa-Balogun; Deputy Governor Noimot Salako-Oyedele; former Deputy Governor Alhaja Salmot Badru; the Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Dr. Kunle Isiaq Salako; and former governorship candidate Hon. Adekunle Akinlade, among others.
