A socio-political group in Ogun State, Ogun Visionaries, has disclosed that it will commence town hall meetings in October to mobilise grassroots support for Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola in his aspiration to govern the state.

The Director-General of the group, Leye Odunjo, who made this known in a statement he signed which was made available to newsmen over the weekend in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, said that the town hall meetings would hold in all the 20 local government areas of the state and the three senatorial districts.

Odunjo, who added that a logo for the meeting had been unveiled by the group, stated that the inaugural edition of the exercise with the theme ‘Yayi 2027: Making a Case for Ogun State’s Unity and Prosperity’, would be held in Ogun West senatorial district.

He explained that “apart from using the town hall meetings to rally support for the governorship aspiration of Senator Adeola otherwise known as Yayi, the meetings would also draw upon the expertise of speakers and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds, including young leaders, women leaders, business owners, investment experts, opinion shapers, traditional leaders, economists, and politicians, as they convene to discuss Ogun State’s progress, unity, and prosperity”.

On the choice of green and orange as colours of the logo, Odunjo explained that the colours signify graphical representation of Ogun people’s unity in diversity and various human and natural resources deposited in the state.

He further declared the readiness of Ogun Visionaries to mobilize support for the reelection of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.

“We have no doubt about President Tinubu’s pro-people leadership and policies that are setting Nigeria back on the right track; for us, it is APC top to bottom,” he said.
