The family of Alhaji Taiwo Hassan aka Ogogo has announced the remaining burial programmes for the late veteran actor while expressing its gratitude to fans and colleagues who attended the burial on Monday in Ilaro, Ogun State.
Veteran actor, Prince Jide Kosoko announced the burial programmes on behalf of the family in a Wednesday post on Facebook.
The family thanked fans, friends, colleagues, associates, and well-wishers for their massive turnout.
“Your massive presence at the burial was a great demonstration of the love and respect you had for Ogogo while he was alive. We sincerely appreciate every one of you.
“May Allah reward you abundantly, bless you and your families, and ensure that no calamity comes upon you in your lifetime,” the post reads in part.
According to the family, two major events would be held to complete the burial rites.
The 8th-day Fidau Prayer will hold on Monday, August 31, in Ilaro.

The family appealed to friends, colleagues, fans, and well-wishers to “come en masse to Ilaro” to offer prayers for the peaceful repose of Ogogo and to ask Almighty Allah to grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus.
This will be followed by the 40-day Artists’ Day in Honour of Ogogo which will be held 40 days after his burial at Pavilion Hall, Ilaro.
The event will feature performances by actors, musicians, comedians, singers, and other entertainers in celebration of Ogogo’s life and legacy.
Kosoko said the programme is “a tradition and a fitting tribute from members of the entertainment industry to one of our great icons, whose contributions to the industry will not be forgotten.”
The event will be coordinated by Theatre Arts and Motion Picture Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN).
Ogogo died on Sunday, August 23, after battling stage 4 cancer.
