Nigerian rapper and singer Odumodublvck has defended Burna Boy who is being crucified by netizens after a recent altercation with a fan.
Daily Sun reported that Burna Boy lost his cool while performing at the Greater Lagos Countdown 2025 when a fan breached security and rushed at him.
The self-proclaimed African Giant kicked the fan before the latter was whisked away by security, prompting backlash from fans.
Reacting via his X handle, Odumodublvck pondered the possibility of the overexcited fan having a weapon, adding that the same critics would bash Burna’s security for allowing it to happen.

He urged fans to speak with honest minds as not everything has to degenerate into heated arguments online.
“If that guy had a knife and god forbid e do odogwu anything, same people talking will say “shebi e get money, why security no bla bla bla.
“Make we at least use honest mind dey talk sometimes. no be everything be banter. I know say na new year no mean say mumuness go stop. but abeg abeg,” the post reads.
Meanwhile, Burna Boy, while addressing fan backlash after the incident, revealed that he suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and reiterated his long-standing policy against stage invasion.
