Grammy Award winner, Burna Boy has explained why he abruptly quit the stage during his performance at the Greater Lagos Countdown 2025.
The superstar has faced criticism on social media for exiting the stage mid-performance after a fan breached security.
A video of the incident circulating on social media shows the musician appearing to kick the invader, who was promptly escorted off the stage by security.
In a post on his Instagram story, Burna Boy explained that he suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and reiterated his long-standing policy against stage invasion.

He disclosed that he appeared on the show for free and performed for nearly an hour instead of the 10 minutes he was allotted.
He said, “It was a free show. I was supposed to do 10 mins and did almost an hour.
“Everybody knows my rule about getting on stage and startling me when I’m performing.
“I had an amazing time with Lagos State last night.
“Don’t jump on my stage like that! I got PTSD. I love you all. Happy New Year.”
