Obi declared winner of presidential election in Cross River, defeats Atiku, Tinubu Kwankwaso with wide margin

The Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi has defeated Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar in the presidential race in Cross River state with a total of 179,917 votes.

Declaring the results as obtained from the polling units, the state collation officer, professor Akpofure Rim-Rukeh, the All Progressive Congress (APC) scored 130,520 votes, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) scored 95,425 votes, while the Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) scored 1,644 votes.

According to him, total valid votes were 416,968, while rejected votes are 24,608 and the total votes cast is 441, 576
