Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari, on his re-election.
Obaseki, who issued the congratulatory message in the early hours of yesterday, shortly after Buhari was declared winner of the presidential election, said: “On behalf of the government and people of Edo State, I congratulate our president-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, on your well-deserved victory.
“I salute the renewed resolve of Nigerians to cast their ballot for uprightness and honesty, exemplified by your leadership, and for endorsing the people-centred programmes of the All Progressives Congress, under your guidance.”
Obaseki said another four years of president Buhari’s leadership “will provide the much-desired impetus for good governance, the ongoing war on corruption, completion of ongoing infrastructure projects and boost our new image in the comity of nations.”
