The Okpaleke family of Umuocha village, Amesi in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State, has released burial programme of Nze Gabriel Chinedu Okpaleke.
According to a burial plan signed on behalf of the family by Chinedu Okpaleke, rites of passage for Okpaleke who died at the age of 65 commenced yesterday with a wake keep in his compound.
A Requiem Mass holds today at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Amesi at 10am while nternment follows immediately at his compound. Thanksgiving Mass takes place on Sunday.
Nze Okpaleke was a US-based businessman, philanthropist, community leader and devout Christian.
He is survived by wife and children and numerous relations including Igwe Raphael Okpaleke (Igwe Ohazurume) Igwe Akalabo 111 of Amesi, Chief Oguchi Okpaleke and uncle, Cardinal Peter Ebere Okpaleke, Bishop of Ekwulobia Diocese.
