NPAN commiserates with Ray Ekpu over wife’s demise

The Newspapers Proprietors’ Association of Nigeria (NPAN) has commiserated with its Ex-Officio member, Ray Ekpu, on the demise of his wife, Uyai. She was 73.

“It is with great shock that we received the news of the death of our sister, friend and your better half, Mrs Uyai Ray Ekpu,” NPAN said in a statement by its president, Kabiru Yusuf, yesterday.

Mrs. Uyai Ray Ekpu was a senior staff of the Centre for Management Development (CMD) and retired in 2011 as an acting director, Management Education and Training department.

NPAN described her as a quintessential management, training specialist and seasoned administrator, noting that her passage has created a deep void in the nation’s socio-development landscape.

“Though she is no more, we are consoled by the enviable legacies she left as a thorough professional, the value she held as a home builder and her exemplary disposition for community service.

“On behalf of the Executive Council of our esteemed Association, We commiserate with you and your entire family.

“We pray that the Almighty God will console and uphold each and everyone of you

“Once again, our condolences.”
