National Leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso, as described the party as the most disciplined and committed political party in the country, unlike the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP)
Kwankwaso, who spoke during the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting yesterday in Abuja, said NNPP was more interested in committed membership.
The former Kano State governor said he expect other parties to find it worthy of working together.
NNPP National Chairman, Ajuji Ahmed,the NEC meeting would be the last under the current leadership.
Ahmed claimed that party was not as divided as other political parties like the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

“We have not been captured and broken and made ineffective by a single omnipotent external force, unlike other Parties. We are not pocketed and dictated to as some other parties are. We are NNPP. We are united and focused on our distinct philosophy and objectives.
“Our Party has been fully backed by our own members morally, materially and psychologically by our own Membership, and our performing governor who delivers education and health facilities, infrastructure, and human development in our proud State of Kano. We are grateful to him for flying high the flag of our Party; and we will be ever proud of him.”
He added: “Behind every successful son is a super successful father. The man widely recognized as the unquestioned and unquestionable father of modern Kano.
“Without mentioning his name, you all know who I mean. I will not be fair if I were to fully count the former this and former that of this colossus of Nigerian politics. A man of unique personality, identity, and character.”
In addition, a member of the board of trustees, Buba Gladima, declared: “99 per cent of the NEC are in this room. There is no need for anybody to think that there is another faction outside what is her.
“Those people who are take us to court, never dared to appeal the judgement. For the past two years they have never moved beyond the high court.”
