The Indigenous of People of Biafra (IPOB) has said the whereabouts of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu and his parents, are still unknown, after last week’s alleged attack at their countryhome, in Afara Ukwu Ibeku, Umuahia, Abia state.
The group said it has been searching for Nnamdi Kanu and his parents but are nowhere to be found .
IPOB Media and Publicity Secretary, in a statement, yesterday, challenged the security agencies to produce Nnamdi and his parents “since it is a prerogative right for him to make statements informing his confidants and teeming members all over the world about his condition
“We are calling on men and women of good conscience, across the globe, to prevail on the Federal Government and her security operatives, especially the Nigerian Army, with South East governors, to produce our leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu before it is too late, because we have gone so deep in search of him and he is nowhere to be found.
“Since last week’s attack and onslaught against Kanu’s compound, at Isiama Afaraukwu Ibeku, Umuahia, Abia State, no eye has seen the IPOB leader.
“We also ask the world to tell the Nigerian government if they arrested our leader, they should tell the world and Biafrans. It is high time the whole world asks questions about Kanu’s whereabouts because Kanu’s family were inside the compound during the attack.”
“We also observed that during the attack, about 22 IPOB members were killed and their dead bodies were taking away.
“The Nigerian army picked our leader and parents during the onslaught without making it open and they are still keeping quiet and mute over the whereabouts of our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu up till this time around. We were made to understand on the newspaper publications weeks before the movement and deployment of military personnel with militery hardware and armored tanks to Umuahia and south Eastern states in general that the order was issued by the chief of staff Buraitai to get Nnamdi Kanu alive or dead, we asked whether they have assassinated him alongside his parents they must let the whole world know about it and stop keeping quiet and mute over the horrible attack on the live of IPOB leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu” IPOB spokesman alleged.
