The Crown Foundation established by Nkpubre Arit Edet, a popular dating coach and matchmaking expert at Lagosmatchmaker and Edak Edet Nkpubre is a Non Governmental Organization (NGO) set aside to open doors of hope for people of all ages, training and equipping them to pursue their God-given purpose in life especially through education.
Just recently, Crown Foundation visited some schools in Nigeria, gifting them school items likes books, school bags and more.
When asked the inspiration behind the philanthropic gestures, LagosMatchmaker coach noted, “The foundation was established mainly for effective educational services for both children and adults, ranging from reading programs, to trades and technology certifications, to higher education. We are concerned with the educational system of Nigeria, that’s why we are bringing in our full support.”
Aside her philanthropic side, Nkpubre Arit Edet is the first United States Certified and award winning dating coach in Nigeria.
She has been matchmaking for over 7 years but got her certification from the United states in 2015.
The dating coach of Lagosmatchmaker platform recently gave out hints on how to find a life partner during this COVID-19 pandemic which has crippled outdoor activities in some parts of the world.
She said, “Dating has changed during this pandemic. It has become something different. There has been negative and positive effects of the COVID-19 in the world of dating.
A negative effect is the fact that first dates cannot be had as easily as before and his positive effect is that people do have the time to date now that they have been more indoors people to have the time to date now that it’s been more time indoors.
The positive part aspect is that with people staying at home due to the lockdown and the advice to stay indoors people are having more time to date. People are having more time to dedicate to finding a partner and companion this also is positive because the relationships that formed during the pandemic have been more meaningful because it also eliminates the pressure of any physical contact.”
She added, “There’s no physical pressure since you’re chatting and talking without actually seeing the person it makes the courtship more meaningful you take time to get to know the person before actually meeting them physically. The negative aspect is that it has made first dates harder before you could go for first dates to a restaurant or to the lounge but now some social places are closed so to have a first date you have to try and use technology and have a video date or risk seeing somebody physically so this has made it a bit difficult but we decided to find a solution to that and we came up with the idea of dating in quarantine.”
