The Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), Charles Anosike and the Rector of the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), Danjuma Ismaila, yesterday formalised a strategic partnership with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Abuja.
The agreement, signed at NiMet’s headquarters, is aimed at strengthening collaboration in professional training, capacity development and service delivery across Nigeria’s aviation and meteorological sectors.
Under the MoU, both institutions will collaborate on the use of training facilities, provide advisory support for aviation training programmes and deliver specialised long and short-term courses for NiMet personnel.
The partnership also included staff exchange programmes, joint training initiatives and the utilisation of NiMet’s Training School in Oshodi, Lagos, for International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO)-compliant aviation training.
