He held that as part of the partnership, NIHOTOUR certification will be required for all expatriates seeking work permits in Nigeria’s hospitality and tourism industries.

Adding that the two organizations will also collaborate to review the Combined Expatriate Residence Permit and Aliens Card (CERPAC) process for expatriates in these sectors, ensuring compliance with national professional standards and promoting employment equity.

In addition, the partnership includes comprehensive training programs for Immigration Officers, aimed at enhancing professionalism and efficiency at Nigeria’s airports and entry points.

Fagade commented on the initiative, stating, “Our mission is to empower Nigerian talent, ensure fairness in employment, and elevate our hospitality and tourism industry to globally competitive standards. This collaboration will not only protect local job opportunities but also position Nigeria as a top tourism destination in Africa.”
