Axa Mansard Insurance and Slot Systems Limited have entered into partnership to provide insurance cover for up to N50,000 customers if their smartphones’ screens get damaged. The product which was launched at the head office of Axa Mansard in Lagos on Tuesday, was a novel initiative for the two companies to ensure that their customers do not bear the financial burden in event of phone screens damaged.
At the launch, the Country Manager, Axa Mansard, Rashidat Adebisi, said that the partnership with Slot became imperative given the economic situation in the country and the firm’s desire to make life easier for their numerous customers.
“We launched this product to ensure that Nigerians are connected. The downside of an unexpected and unforeseen situation; when you cannot connect to your family and friends, to your money or the source of your money,” she stated.
The Chief Executive Officer of Slot Systems, Mr. Nnamdi Ezeigbo, affirmed that the idea is a dream come true in line with its plans for customers 2024. He noted that as a customer-centric brand, the partnership is a testament to Slot’s forward- looking, resilient and perseverance spirit.
“This idea is in alignment of our core values and one of the things that make Axa Mansard great partner is their global presence, their strong brand, and strong customer base. Meanwhile, we have plans to take Slot to other African countries, so our spread is not limited to Nigeria alone,” he said.
According to Ezeigbo, what makes the partnership very important was that it reduces the cost of repairing or replacing customers’ phone screen. “You know that the cost of phone screens is going up. We have come up with this formula basically to help reduce the cost associated with replacing a screen. With the N2,500 premium, you can get a discount of N50,000. For me, this is very significant,” he detailed.
