Nigerians have great faith and hope in you, Fubara tells Corps members

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has informed members of the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC), that “Nigerians place great faith and hope” in them.

He said this on Tuesday, during the closing ceremony of 2024 Batch B Stream II orientation course at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Nonwa-Gbam, Tai Local Government Area (LGA) for Corps members deployed to the State.

Represented by the Permanent Secretary, Cabinet Bureau, Office of the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Hamilton Amadi, Fubara further stated that Nigerians are filled with a sense of fulfillment that through the Corps members’ patriotic services, the country would be lifted into economic growth and greatness.

He commended them for their good conduct, steadfastness and commitment throughout the orientation exercise which made the experience superlative and spectacular.

In his welcome address, the Coordinator of NYSC, Rivers State, Mr. George Mfongang, expressed optimism that with the capacity built in the Corps members by the orientation training in discipline and values, they would make invaluable contributions to their host communities and the nation at large.

He expressed delight and confidence with the high level of honesty, integrity and sound morals exhibited by the Corps members, noting that they would go places in leadership and nation building.

Mfongang concluded by appreciating the governor and good people of the State for their unwavering support to the NYSC scheme and used the opportunity to condole with the Nonwa-Tai people over the death of their deputy paramount ruler and Chairman, NYSC/Host Community Relations Committee, Chief MeneBarikpe Mballey.
