…starts 6-Day Abuja Crusade, Charges Leaders to Seek Divine Solutions
From Charity Nwakaudu
Founder and General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi, on Wednesday declared that Nigeria and the rest of the world need God’s intervention to overcome mounting economic, security and social challenges.
The renowned evangelist spoke shortly after arriving at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, ahead of a six-day Global Crusade with Kumuyi (GCK), insisting that human efforts alone cannot solve the complex problems confronting nations.
“We are planning big, living big and talking big, but it is God who brings solutions,” Kumuyi said, stressing that divine power remains the ultimate answer to humanity’s challenges.
The crusade, themed “Christ Wonder-Working Power,” begins at the Deeper Life Bible Church, Kado, from June 24 to 25 before moving to the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, from June 26 to 29.
Kumuyi urged political leaders and policymakers to listen to the cries of the people and seek God’s guidance in tackling the nation’s problems.
“We are trusting God to help our leaders hear what they need to hear and act on it so that we can make Nigeria, Africa and the world a better place to live,” he said.
The cleric expressed optimism that many of the challenges facing nations would be addressed if leaders allowed God to direct their decisions.
“God can do it,” he declared.
The Abuja gathering is Kumuyi’s first Global Crusade since celebrating his 85th birthday on June 6. He is expected to continue the evangelistic outreach in Gboko and Otukpo, Benue State, on June 30.
