The Professional Fighters League (PFL) has announced its long-awaited expansion into West Africa, confirming that PFL Africa will make its debut in Lagos on June 13, 2026, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The landmark event, scheduled to take place at the Eko Convention Center, is being billed as the largest mixed martial arts showcase in West African history. It will feature the opening rounds of the bantamweight and lightweight tournaments, alongside a series of showcase bouts spotlighting top regional talent.

Headlining the card is a featherweight showcase clash between Nigeria’s Wasi Adeshina and Spain’s Ignacio Campos. Adeshina, competing on home soil, is expected to draw significant local support as he looks to make a statement in the main event. Campos enters the contest in strong form following a recent victory at PFL Madrid.

In the co-main event, Nigeria’s Patrick Ocheme will face Cameroon’s Octave Ayinda in a lightweight first-round tournament bout. Ocheme will aim to leverage home advantage,

, while Ayinda seeks to secure a decisive result in his tournament opener.

Speaking ahead of the event, PFL Africa General Manager Elias Schulze described the Lagos showcase as a significant step in the promotion’s global expansion.

“Making our West African debut in Lagos is a major milestone for PFL Africa,” Schulze said. “Nigeria offers a unique blend of passion, culture and talent, and Lagos provides the ideal stage to showcase African MMA to a global audience.”
