The Ministry of Petroleum Resources, in partnership with Great Minds Events, is set to launch the first Africa Oil & Gas Digital Transformation Conference. This event set for September 3-4, 2024, in Lagos, will be pivotal in driving the digital transformation of Africa’s oil and gas sector.

Minister of State, Petroleum Resources (Oil), Heineken Lokpobiri, emphasised the government’s commitment to fostering a favorable business climate for both domestic and international oil companies. “By tackling issues like pipeline vandalism and oil theft, we aim to create an environment where businesses can thrive,” he stated. The Minister also highlighted the importance of ensuring that the benefits of the oil and gas industry are shared equitably among Nigerians, emphasizing the role of the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) in driving transparency and investment.

The conference will address challenges and opportunities presented by digital transformation in the industry. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with industry experts, including representatives from ExxonMobil Nigeria and KPMG, through keynote speeches, panel discussions, and networking sessions.
