The General Overseer of the Christian Central Chapel International, Archbishop Emmah Isong, says Nigeria lacks the political will to fight terrorism.
Archbishop Isong disclosed this over the weekend during a prayer meeting by the Semakamek Support Group for an end to bloodshed and violent crimes in the country.
He disclosed that the planned intervention in the rising insecurity in the country is from God, and Nigeria needs the support of the United States to end the rising insecurity in the country.
“Nigeria does not have the political will to end the insecurity in the country, and the planned intervention by the United States is from God.
“We need support in arms, technology, and intelligence sharing, and you cannot fight international terrorism without the United States because they have been there,” he said.

He said the prayer group, which has been in existence for over two years, arose from the need for Christian leaders to intercede in prayers and also speak with one voice.
He said the church is not crossing the boundary because they are the salt of the earth, and it will lose its saltiness if it remains indifferent to political developments in society.
As part of the prayer summit, the group honoured the Chief of Staff to the Cross River State Governor, Emmanuel Ironbar, as well as the Speaker of the State Assembly, Elvert Ayambem, with the Shield of Faith Award.
In his acceptance speech, the Chief of Staff dedicated his award to the state governor, Senator Bassey Otu.
He also solicited increased prayers for the governor to enable him to deliver on his People’s First mandate.
