Nigeria Innovation Summit honours TotalEnergies, eHealth Africa, others

The 10th Nigeria Innovation Summit (NIS), held recently at the MUSON Centre in Lagos, brought together startups, technology experts, policymakers, and innovators under the theme “Sustainable Innovation.” The event showcased emerging ideas and efforts aimed at addressing Nigeria’s social and economic challenges through technology.

A highlight of the summit was the 2025 Nigeria Innovation Awards, which recognised six organisations and two individuals selected from hundreds of nominees for their notable achievements in scalable and impactful innovation. The awards celebrated work spanning sectors including renewable energy, healthcare technology, digital education, and government services.

Among the honorees, TotalEnergies was recognised for its contributions to sustainable energy solutions and efforts in promoting cleaner energy access in Nigeria. eHealth Africa was acknowledged for leveraging digital technologies to improve healthcare delivery across the country and the wider continent.

The awards also highlighted innovative individuals, such as Kevinblak (Governor Amuneke), named most innovative content creator for his use of satire and storytelling to engage audiences.

Other organisations recognised include Rise Networks for promoting youth inclusion through technology, DigiLearns for advancing access to education, Lumos Laboratories for developing waste-to-energy technologies, and Louer Global Limited for providing e-government services. Ugochukwu Okoli of Louer Group received an individual award for excellence in cyber intelligence.
