Governor Bago approves the constitution of two new boards

Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has approved the appointment of Ibrahim A. Liman, retired Comptroller General of the Federal Fire Service, as Chairman of the newly constituted Niger State Universal Basic Education Board (NSUBEB).

The appointment of Liman was contained in a statement by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Abubakar Usman, in Minna on Thursday.

Also contained in the statement was the constitution of the state secondary education board with Alhaji Abdulkadir Isah Nafuntuwa as the chairman.

Other members of the newly constituted board of the state basic education include Monday Emigi (Member I), Mohammed Mudi (Member II), Samuel Makotso (Member III), Malik Madaki Bosso (Member IV), Mohammed Mamman Auna (Member V), while Dr. Aminu Wushishi will serve as Secretary of the Board.

Similarly, other members of the new secondary education board include Mohammed Madami Evuti (Member I), Salihu Danladi (Member II), Yusuf Yakubu Salka (Member III), Dr. Yinti Usman (Member IV), Abubakar Garo (Member V), and Dr. Ahmed Egbako as Secretary.

Governor Bago, while congratulating the appointees, urged them to bring their wealth of experience, professionalism, and dedication to bear in driving the administration’s vision of transforming the education sector in line with the New Niger Agenda.

He emphasised that the appointments reflect his administration’s commitment to strengthening institutional capacity, promoting transparency, and ensuring the effective implementation of education policies aimed at improving teaching and learning outcomes across the state.

The Governor reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to restore the pride of the education sector and make it a cornerstone of sustainable human capital development.
