The Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has called on Nigerians migrating abroad to remain connected to their roots and contribute positively to Nigeria’s development.
In a statement issued by the Director of Media, Public Relations and Protocols, NiDCOM, Abuja, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, Dabiri-Erewa, speaking at a Ramadan Lecture themed “The Intricacies of Japa Syndrome,” emphasised that migration should be a journey of impact, not abandonment. “Migration is not wrong, as even Prophet Muhammad (SAW) migrated from Makkah to Madinah for a better life, but returned to rebuild his homeland,” she noted.
