Ngwu honoured as CDOA, strengthening Nigeria’s global data leadership presence

 

 

Nigeria’s technology sector has once again been spotlighted on the global stage as Moses Ngwu, a highly accomplished Senior Network Engineer, has been named a Chief Data Officer Ambassador (CDOA) under the Country Chief Data Officer Ambassador (CCDOA) Programme – Nigeria.

The CCDOA initiative, aligned with the MIT Chief Data Officer & Information Quality (CDOIQ) Programme, in collaboration with isCDO and CDO Magazine USA, recognises leaders worldwide who drive data governance, digital transformation, AI innovation, and analytics excellence.

With over 15 years of experience designing, implementing, and operating large-scale, multi-vendor datacenter and cloud network infrastructure, Ngwu has built a reputation for network security expertise, incident management, and ensuring high availability in mission-critical environments. His deep technical mastery in BGP, MPLS, VxLAN, EVPN, and CSP environments (Azure) has positioned him as a key contributor to advancing global cloud and data operations.

Speaking on the recognition, Ngwu remarked: “This award is not just about individual achievement, but about Nigeria’s growing role in shaping the future of data leadership. By leveraging innovation and collaboration, we can ensure that our nation contributes meaningfully to global digital transformation.”

As part of the CCDOA network, Ngwu will gain access to a global community of Chief Data Officers, participate in international programmes such as the MIT CDOIQ Symposium, and contribute to shaping national and international data initiatives

This honour underscores Nigeria’s expanding influence in the global data leadership arena, with professionals like Ngwu driving innovation, governance, and sustainable growth in the digital age.

The Country Chief Data Officer Ambassador Programme identifies and celebrates leaders worldwide who champion data-driven decision-making, digital transformation, AI innovation, and analytics excellence. Ambassadors serve as vital connectors between local innovation and global best practices, ensuring every nation has a voice in shaping the future of data leadership.
