The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has appointed Professor Victor Madubuko as a member of the NFF Beach Soccer & Football League Board.
Madubuko’s appointment was announced in a letter of appointment signed by NFF General Secretary, Dr Mohammed Sanusi, dated August 18, 2026, and made available to Daily Sun.
The letter stated that the appointment, which takes place with immediate effect, is in recognition of Madubuko’s “wealth of experience, dedication, and commitment to the development of Beach Soccer and Futsal in the country.”
Birthed in 2003 with the formation of the Anambra Beach Soccer Association (ABSA), a brainchild of Professor Madubuko, Beach Soccer has become one of the most popular and active in the state.
With a standard beach Soccer pitch beautifully constructed in the industrial town of Nnewi, Anambra has played host to the Nigeria Beach Soccer League twice, with top clubs from across the country coming to thrill sand soccer enthusiasts in the State.
The above achievement was made possible with the efforts of Madubuko, who is the founder and financier of all Beach Soccer activities in Anambra.
The Anambra Beach Soccer Association is the body in its mould that recognised and registered with the Ministry of Sports and Youth Development, a condition that is necessary for it to get sponsorship from the state government.
