Nestle Nigeria Plc has launched a nationwide consumer promotion, the Milo “Text and Win” campaign, aimed at rewarding over two million consumers across the country with airtime, substantial cash prizes and brand-new cars.

The MILO Text & Win Promotion is a nationwide consumer reward initiative designed to celebrate and appreciate millions of MILO consumers across Nigeria by creating an opportunity for them to enjoy exciting rewards while strengthening their connection with the brand.

Addressing members of the press and industry stakeholders recently, the Head of Corporate Communications, Public Affairs, and Sustainability at Nestle Nigeria Plc, Victoria Uwadoka highlighted the deep-rooted relationship between the brand and Nigerian families.

“Milo has been a part of grassroots sports development for over 25 years. More importantly than the opportunity to win prizes, this promotion is one of our ways of putting consumers at the heart of the experience. It is about celebrating the relationship that we have built with generations of Nigerian families and expressing our appreciation through meaningful experiences that go beyond the product itself,” Uwadoka stated.

She emphasised that the brand’s long-standing success relies on local sourcing and environmental responsibility, noting that the malt used in Nigerian Milo is made from locally grown sorghum, giving it a taste uniquely crafted for the local market.

Expanding on the scope of the promotion, Gilbert Tweneboah-Koduah, Category Manager for Beverages at Nestle Nigeria Plc, outlined the scale of rewards set to be distributed to consumers nationwide.

“Throughout the promotion, over two million consumers will be rewarded with airtime and cash prizes, while six lucky winners will have the opportunity to win brand-new cars. Two million consumers, that’s more than the population of some cities in this country. Beyond the rewards themselves, this promotion represents our appreciation for the trust consumers continue to place in Milo,” Tweneboah-Koduah said.

He noted that the mechanics of the promotional campaign were designed to be straightforward and accessible to everyone in Nigeria, requiring consumers to purchase the specially marked single-serve Milo 20g promo pack and submit the unique code printed inside via USSD or QR code.

Highlighting the economic effect of the initiative, Boladale Odunlami, Commercial Manager at Nestle Nigeria Plc, explained how the campaign supports the company’s broader ecosystem, including small retail businesses and distributors.

“At Nestle, we believe that sustainable business growth starts with creating shared value across our entire ecosystem. Beyond the rewards delivered to consumers, the promotion creates opportunities across our value chain by driving visibility, supporting product availability, and strengthening engagement across our trade network, from neighbourhood stores to open markets and table-top vendors,” Odunlami noted.

Addressing transparency, compliance and consumer protection, Regulatory Affairs Manager at Nestle Nigeria Plc, Edidiong Peters, assured the public that strict governance measures approved by the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission and NAFDAC are in place to ensure fairness.

“Every participating promo pack carries a unique, traceable code that can only be redeemed once. All prize draws will be conducted under independent supervision. Furthermore, at no point will Nestle or its authorised representatives request payment, processing fees, or any financial contribution from winners before prizes are handed over,” Peters emphasised.

To guarantee absolute integrity, Nestle confirmed that all company employees and their immediate family members are strictly disqualified from participating in the draws.

The bi-weekly prize draws will be monitored by independent observers and regulatory representatives, with winners announced regularly across Milo’s official social media platforms
