NEITI: Tinubu approves reconstitution of national stakeholders working group

President Bola Tinubu, has approved the reconstitution of a 15-man National Stakeholders’ Working Group (NSWG) for Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI).

In a statement issued by Director, Information and Public Relations, Segun Imohiosen, the NSWG which has the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume as Chairman, also has members Executive Chairman, Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Zacch Adedeji and Group Chief Executive Officer, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL), Mele Kyari as  Government Representative.

Other members are Representative of extractive companies (oil and gas), Oghenegwueke Ajafia – Oil Producers Trade Section, Lagos Chamber of Commerce (OPTS),  President, Miners Association of Nigeria, Dele Ayanleke, Member Representative of extractive companies (mining) and Representative of the Civil Member (To be elected by the CSOs, having been notified in writing by the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation through NEITI to elect and present their representative.

Others are Nkechi Isigwe, member Representative of  Women/ Geo-scientist. Former President, Association of Professional Women Engineers. Extractive Industries Expert., President Nigeria Union Of Petroleum And Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG), Williams Apkoreha, Representative of industries Union in oil and gas, Musa Lawan, Representative of  North -West Zone, Abubakar Mu’azu, Representative of North – East Zone, Matthew Adoli and Representative from North – Central Zone.

Others are Olasupo, Abdel-Jeleel Taiwo, Representative of South -West, Chief Israel Ikechukwu Ikwuegbu, Representative of South – East, Stephen Leo Akpan,  epresentative of South – South and Orji Ogbonnaya Orji, Secretary to the NSWG and Executive Secretary/CEO (in Office on five-year Single Tenure).

The statement said the Board’s inauguration will be announced in due course.
