Ndikelionwu community in Orumba North Local Government in Anambra State has concluded arrangements for the 80th birthday celebration of Chief Pius Okereke, also known as Ezeogo of the community.
The event slated to be held on the new year day of 2026 also heralds his 50 years wedding anniversary with hls loving wife, Lolo Grace Okereke.
Spokesperson of the family, Chief Chukwudi Okereke, who is also his first son, in a statement, said that the community will honour his father for his philanthropy and peace brokerage.
He said the fun galore event is expected to attract dignitaries within the local government and Anambra State.
“My father for years is recognised for his commitment to peace brokerage, philanthropy, and entrepreneurship.”
Guided by a strong belief in dialogue and cooperation, he has played an influential role in fostering understanding and reconciliation within the community. His work, as a peace broker, is marked by patience, integrity, and a deep respect for diverse perspectives, qualities that have earned him trust and recognition among leaders and grassroots stakeholders alike.
Alongside his peace-building efforts, Ezeogo Okereke, the spokesperson of the family added, is a successful businessman with a reputation for strategic thinking and ethical leadership.
“Given his business ventures, he has demonstrated that commercial success and social responsibility can go hand in hand. He is known for creating opportunities, supporting innovation, and contributing to economic growth while maintaining a focus on long-term community impact,” he said.
