Super Eagles stand-in captain Wilfred Ndidi will return from international duty for Nigeria, playing two games in the last few days vs. South Africa (1-1, draw) and Benin (1-2, defeat). He will hopefully soon come to terms with his alternatives, which at this moment looks to be either staying at Leicester or move to Galatasaray.
He has two offers to consider, either continue to be a pivotal player at Leicester, staying on and take responsibility and be part of a race to keep the club in the Premier League, or moving to Turkey and Galatasaray to become a player far from the top action of the game, joining a league of less standard, but having the opportunity to compete in Europe on a regular basis.
Jamie Vardy has over the years stayed loyal to Leicester and will for alway be one of the icons of this football club, something surely Wilfred Ndidi could follow as he has been around since January 2017. Since coming in from Belgian club Ghenk, being the last signing of Claudio Ranieri, he has flourished and shined, last season showing everyone he is adaptable to perform in other roles than a defensive midfielder, having a much more offensive part in last seasons journey back to Premier League.
Caglar Soyuncu turned down a possible chance to stay at Leicester and instead put pen to paper on a deal with Atletico Madrid, and later moving to Fenerbahce on loan, without being able to build on his seasons at Leicester, hopefully that can be seen as a lesson learned as the Turkey international have struggled since leaving.
Wilfred Ndidi is well settled in the Leicester area, having kids growing up in an English environment, surely moving his family to Turkey would be a distraction if it becomes a challenge.
Having an offer on the table at Leicester, being back in Premier League, with a family well settled and of course speaking the native language, would see this decision as a no brainer from outside, but we never now before the player himself has put pen to paper on a new deal.
