The Chief of Naval Staff (CNS), Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, on Thursday decorated four newly-promoted officers at the Naval Headquarters in Abuja.

The officers, who were promoted from the rank of lieutenant to the rank of lieutenant commander, are Solomon Opeyemi Aborisade, Oluwagbemiga Michael Adebowale, Wilfred Izilien and Yakubu Usman Yusuf.

At the decoration ceremony, the naval chief stated that the officers were promoted in reward of hard work, discipline, and dedication to duty as well as loyalty to the Navy and the nation at large.

The CNS, who was represented by the Chief of Policy and Plans, Rear Admiral Joseph Daniel Akpan, stated that promotion comes with great responsibility and charged the newly promoted lieutenant commanders to be professional in the discharge of their duties.

Ogalla also charged the new-promoted officers to shun vices that could stain their record.

He appreciated the spouses and family of the newly promoted officers for keeping the home front peaceful.

Speaking on behalf of his colleagues, Lieutenant Commander Aborisade appreciated President Bola Tinubu for the opportunity given to them to serve the nation.

Furthermore, he thanked the CNS and the Navy Board for considering them worthy of the promotion to the new rank.

The officers promised to improve on their productivity in their various departments.
