The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Alhaji Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, has urged Muslims to sustain their prayers and good virtues exhibited during the just-concluded Ramadan fast in order to build an egalitarian society.

In a message signed by his Press Secretary, Jibrin Gwamna, the Speaker felicitated with Muslims on the successful completion of the fast and the upcoming Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.

He called on believers to use the period to sustain their prayers for the nation to overcome its emerging challenges and also to pray for the success of the new administration in the country.

The Speaker also urged citizens to support the less privileged in the society, and to use their diversity as a source of unity and strength, while calling on the youths to remain committed to constituted authorities and to champion the cause of peace, unity, and development in the society.

Furthermore, he called for support for government and leaders at all levels to succeed, and tasked religion and community leaders to continue to preach peace and unity among their people.

According to him, “this year’s Eid-el-Fitr, reminds Nigerians of the need to keep hope alive and to work towards a better society.” He said.
