The new excos include Ajayi Oluwafemi Sunday, President; Olanose James, Vice President 1; Lawal Gbolahan, Vice President 2; Kamil Iseoluwa, Secretary; Folarin Israel, Auditor; Jamiu Mubaraq, Director of Welfare; Adeosun Joshua, Public Relations Officer 1; and Oderinde Tosin, Public Relations Officer 2.

Others are Lawal Taofeek, Social Director; Abdulazeez Bashir, AGS 2; Mustapha Damilola, Treasurer; and Sobowale Bright, Public Relations Officer 3.

The Senate leadership comprises Olabode Opeyemi, Senate President; Tijani Abdulazeez, Deputy Senate President; Sokoya Abdulkareem, Clerk; and Sodipe Emmanuel, Chief Whip.

In a press statement, President-elect, Comrade Oluwafemi Ajayi AKA Fm Castro commended distinguished senators of NAOSS for upholding the constitution of the body and the CPC for conducting a “world-class” national convention.

He reiterated his appreciation to the outgoing Senate leadership for upholding the constitution without bias.

Ajayi commended President Bola Tinubu for his giant strides in the education sector and far-reaching steps aimed at addressing the security challenges facing the nation, expressing strong belief that the nation would overcome.

The NAOSS president-elect also commended Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun for his commitment towards the development of education in Ogun State.

“As the Southern Governors Forum Chairman he has distinguished himself in all ramifications especially in the aspect of students welfare,” he added.

Ajayi further thanked the Ogun State Commissioner for Education, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu for his hard work towards the development of NAOSS and Omo Ogun nationwide.

He said, “A new dawn is here in NAOSS.”

The president-elect equally commended the Ogun State Commissioner of Police and the Department of State Services (DSS) for “ensuring a very peaceful environment without any rancor”.

He noted that Saturday’s convention has reaffirmed unity with the association’s ranks.

He said, “We are calling on security agents, the media and general public to disregard any shenanigans parading themselves as NAOSS national leadership and decisively treat them as imposters.”

Meanwhile, a special appeal was directed at Gov. Abiodun to fulfill a promised N2.5 million cash prize to the family of the late Comrade Oriwayi Samuel aka Samoris, who was the best graduating student in Civil Engineering for the 2022/2023 session at Moshood Abiola Polytechnic before his death.

The association reiterated its apolitical stance, declaring NAOSS “never for sale” and committed to supporting government developmental projects while advocating for students’ interests.
