NAMA 2025 celebrates Africa’s finest

The Notable African Music Awards (NAMA) 2025 held on December 13 at Angels Garden, Lekki–Epe Expressway, Lagos, brought together top African music stars and industry stakeholders to celebrate excellence across the continent’s music industry.

The ceremony, themed “Shine Beyond,” honoured outstanding achievements in 23 categories. Veteran artistes Baba Fryo and Zeeno Foster were celebrated as Legends of the Year for their enduring impact, while DJ Kaywise won Notable DJ of the Year. Danny S clinched Notable Song of the Year with Omo Leli.

Ofego emerged as one of the biggest winners, securing Notable Album of the Year and Notable Music Video of the Year for Girls Dem Daddy. Other winners included Fido Cleff (Notable Gospel Artist of the Year), DJ OMG (Notable Radio DJ of the Year), Cheta Praise (Notable New Artist of the Year) and La Reine YOSE of Cameroon (Notable Artist of the Year).

Organised by Alongside Entertainment, NAMA 2025 reaffirmed its mission to spotlight African creativity and elevate the continent’s music globally. Founder Patrick Okereke, also known as DJ Oscar P, described music as a powerful cultural force that continues to place Africa on the world stage. With another successful edition concluded, expectations are already rising for NAMA 2026.
