NAFDAC warehouse in Lagos goes up in flames

A mid afternoon inferno has destroyed the warehouse of the National Agency for Food, Drug Administration and Control in Oshodi, Lagos State.
Although the actual cause of the fire has yet to be known, it was gathered that the fire started from the powerhouse of the agency and spread to the warehouse, where chemicals were stored.
The fire started from the power house around 3.15pm, the General Manager of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Adesina Tiamiyu, said in a statement.
Officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency and the state fire service battled to completely put out the fire.
