The leadership of National Democratic Coalition in the United States of America (NADECO USA) has taken a strategic initiative aimed at fortifying and repositioning the organisation in the on-going fight for the enthronement of true democracy and good governance in Nigeria.
The move has brought significant changes in its organisational structure, operations, and positions towards enhancing the group’s effectiveness, agility, and impact towards further deepening democratic values in the country.
Following the development, Professor Mondy Gold, an Ijaw from Delta State, became the Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT), while Dr Omotayo Ale was nominated to serve as the Vice Chairman.
A statement by the group’s new spokesperson, David Adenekan, said Gold’s outstanding wealth of experience in both private and public sectors would consolidate and further strengthen NADECO USA to attain its primary goal of deepening democracy in Nigeria.
Gold is a Professor of Business and Accounting Studies in the United States, and a leader in the Ijaw Diaspora Council, USA.
The vice chairman, Ale hails from Ikale in Ondo State and is currently the Secretary of Ikale World Congress, USA.
Similarly, Patience Williams Alaku, from Eggon Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, has been elevated to the office of the General Secretary to run the Secretariat as a team leader and will be the live wire of the organisation.
Other members of NADECO USA’s BoT are Dr. Lloyd Ukwu, the Executive Director; David Adenekan, the spokesperson; Dr. Chiedu Okocha, Dr. James Okoroafor, Odudu Okpongete, Chief Benjamin Omili, Mr. Emmanuel Isah Ogebe and Mr. Oye Fasakin, while Chuma Okeke assumed the role of Secretary and Director of Communications.
