Jose Mourinho’s imminent return to Real Madrid may not be confirmed yet but the Portuguese tactician is already making plans.
Those plans include putting up 10 players, among whom are three superstars, up for sale in the summer, Portuguese outlet Record reports.
According to the outlet, Mourinho’s decision to axe those players is part of efforts to revamp the squad to immediately begin competing for Spain and Europe’s biggest trophies again next season.
Two of those players, veterans David Alaba and Dani Carvajal, are already on their way out as their contracts expire at the end of this season.
However, some younger players have not been spared.
Those include back-up goalkeeper Andriy Lunin, Spanish left-back Fran Garcia, French left-back Ferland Mendy, midfielder Dani Ceballos, and 22-year-old forward Gonzalo Garcia.
But the biggest shock are the last three players Mourinho has decided, per Record, are not part of his plans.
French midfielder, Eduardo Camavinga has not only been left out of his country’s World Cup squad but may now need to look for another club.

Uruguayan, Federico Valverde is also reportedly not in Mourinho’s good books and may be playing for another club next season.
Considered one of the best midfielders in Europe, Valverde was one of the bright spots in a difficult season for Real Madrid.
His training ground bust-up with Aurelien Tchouameni could have worsened his chances with the 63-year-old incoming manager.
Unarguably the biggest name on the list is Vinicius Junior, a two-time UCL champions with the club.
The 25-year-old has endured an inconsistent performance this season but remains one of the best wingers in Europe.
Mourinho will hope to bring in a fresh set of legs to challenge Barcelona in the league and remain competitive in Europe.
Ballon d’Or winner and Manchester City midfielder, Rodri is reportedly his first target as he prepares to pen a two-year deal at the Bernabeu.
