The Vice Chancellor, Miçhael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudíke, Prof M O Iwe, visited the institution’s Agribusiness Incubation Centre on Monday, February 5, on a familiarisation tour and for on the spot assessment of the progress of the centre.

The VC was visibly elated and was impressed with the level of progress made in the very short period of time since the takeoff of the centre.

The VC was received by the Director of the centre, Dr Phillips Nto who took the august visitor round the complex and further briefed him on the many lofty ideas that will soon be birthed at the Centre.

Dr Nto assured the VC that the vision and mandate of the centre which is primarily to produce robust and productive agribusinesses concepts which will become profitable to the University, state and the country at large.

Dr Nto, a World Bank consultant, thanked the VC for the visit and promised to bring his wealth of experience to nurture and grow the centre to great heights.He said he would stop at nothing to ensure that the vision of the centre is achieved.
