Nigeria’s health spotlight shifts to Abuja tomorrow as Premium Times and the Centre for Journalism Innovation and Development (CJID) host the 2025 National Health Dialogue at Fraser Suites.
The one-day forum will draw top government officials, global health leaders, journalists and innovators to examine Nigeria’s ailing health system, with a strong focus on strengthening primary healthcare and securing sustainable financing.
Health Minister Prof Muhammad Ali Pate will lead the discussions, alongside the WHO Country Director, heads of the NPHCDA and NHIA, and several state commissioners of health.

The Dialogue will open with investigative journalism showcases from Premium Times, Nigeria Health Watch and Punch, underscoring the role of reporting in exposing system failures and shaping reforms.
Panels through the day will tackle financing gaps, state-level performance and emerging innovations in digital and maternal health.
CJID Executive Director, Akintunde Babatunde, said the Dialogue signals the beginning of deeper nationwide engagements aimed at improving health outcomes across the country.
