The Middle Belt Pan-Nigerian Forum has disowned a statement credited to it, calling for resignation of the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla.

The Forum, in a statement by Victor Atokolo and Ogbole Moses, National President and Secretary General respectively, said it has nothing to do with the fall for the resignation of the CNS.

The group, while apologizing to Ogalla over the statement, stated that the CNS has discharged its responsibilities very well since assumption of office.

“We therefore call on the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla and the general public to kindly disregard the media report credited to the Middle Belt Pan-Nigerian Forum.

“The Chief of Naval Staff has done well in our observations and we make bold to pass a vote of confidence on him, ” the group said

It added that, as true Nigerians who believe in justice, the forum would not want to engage in anything that would undermine the integrity and fundamental rights of any Nigerian, saying, the outcome of any probe would be made known to all Nigerians.
