Social media is being filled and bastardized with nudity. Females who are the main drivers have not come to terms with the fact that the internet does not forget. A day would come when their old, forgotten social media posts would just pop-up at the most embarrassing moment.
These days, when organizations interview applicants, the first assessment would be to review their social media footprints, to unravel and understand the personality and the integrity of the person through their posts. Most of the posts either qualify or disqualify the applicant, especially ladies. Credible corporate organisations maintain standards of behavior, which they expect every member of staff, from the cleaner to the CEO to observe, uphold and entrench.
All around, women are involved in practically everything that concerns men, from football to just about anything. Women and their sexuality are involved. The Almighty God made it so, right from the Garden of Eden, when He made for Adam a mate suitable for him. But sexuality is not NUDITY!
Then the question is: why do women flaunt nudity on social media and in other public places? Do women enjoy being seen half-nude on social media platforms? What is the purpose of social media nudity?
Great thinkers actually point fingers at the men and accuse them of encouraging indecent dressing by ladies.
Shocking as it may be, a man once confessed that most men hide themselves to admire (more like LUST after) nudity on their phones. There have been instances when many brides, who were improperly dressed on their wedding days, were prevented from taking the marital vow by the officiating priest. A pastor once walked out on the couple-to-be for poor dressing of the bride. To think that on big days like weddings, bridegrooms step out in good appearance with his team of groom’s men, while the bride and her train display their bare breasts for whoever cares to enjoy the free show. On such occasions content creators feed their eyes as well as their social media pages with nude pictures of brides and the ladies in the bridal train.
There has never been a situation where a groom bolted out for poor presentation of his wife’s dressing, instead it is welcomed. Does showing up naked on her big day add to the beauty of the day or just to look sexy for all? That sexiness should be for the rightful owner.
Interestingly, the men share the big blame because if they take decisive action during the dating days, the girls will behave better.
Now, the nudity is seriously on the increase because men adore, appreciate and worship such sights.
Remarkably, if from the onset, the men reject very deep ‘V-neck cut tops, midriff exposure, half bustier, one-arm dresses, tightly fitted bum-shorts, inners that has been converted to cycling shorts, very long deep slits as they take their babes out, the girls will adjust knowing she would lose her guy if she continues to share her nude photos on social media.
It is also a quick reminder that some mothers genuinely do not accept naked daughters-in-law, but most men usually rule against their mother’s decision, shutting her down outrightly with a statement like, “I love her like that. I am marrying her for myself.” Such language strengthens the new wife to promote nudity.
This habit thrives on social media because men applaud it full time. That a music artiste would dress decently for a show, his female back-up singer or dancer would rather appear on the same stage nudely dressed. Well, experiences have proved that most of the naked girls are engaged for pleasure and not serious deals.
When the men and boys stop paying compliments and rebuff the nudity, the message would directly or indirectly sink.
To tell you that men really aid nudity, I observed something in a highbrow residential estate in Lagos, which has architectural masterpieces and does not experience flooding. With the streets lined with trees, to provide shade from the sun, it is a very cool and welcoming place for romantic strolls, brisk-walk and aerobics. On the day in question, while walking down, ahead of me was a young adult male and his female companion of about the same age. They were walking towards the main gate of the private estate. The boy typically wore a three-quarter pants and proper ‘T’ shirt that fitted his body type, while the girl wore tight-fitted bum-shorts that covered only the uppermost part of her buttocks while the lower region was just bare and jiggling with a step she took. She wore a simple top that hung above her waistline. Her ensemble communicated one message: visual seduction. The outfit was simply offensive in its entirety. More offensive was the fact that she was walking with her supposed guy because of the way they were smooching as they strolled towards the gate. While the man was properly dressed, his babe chose to appear semi-nude with the pelvic region, thighs and midriff open for all to see. As the mother of a teenage daughter, I found the sight ungodly? But the young male companion was happy walking with her, hand-in-hand.
Unfortunately, that same man will not allow his sister or wife to come out like that. But for a foolish meat ready to be devoured, her nudity is an accepted development. They also forget that social media has become an active tool to drive both the good and the bad.
The story of Dora James, who almost lost her relationship with Princewill, should be a lesson. Dora was a big girl banker who lavished money on her style in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. It was the days of big-bank girls’ unhealthy competition to keep up with the Joneses. Their income was mostly felt on their appearances unlike today’s bank girls who have played down on designer looks, yet achieve all banking goals.
Dora worked in the 90s when upfront allowances were paid in January. As soon as she got hers, she bought a set of jewelry for N850,000.00 and paid cash immediately. The same evening, her fiancé visited and out of excitement, Dora brandished the set of jewelry before him and Princewill inquired about the cost, she told him it was made with diamond and cost N850,000. Princewill’s facial expression changed and he expressed his anger. “If you do not return this to the jeweler, rest assured that this intended marriage will be over. You want to wear two plots of land on your neck. Investment money is being converted to fashion? Princewill meant it and bolted out of her house.
Dora ran after him, yet he zoomed off. She regrettably packaged the jewelry and returned it to the seller. She said: “My marriage is about to crash because of jewelry. The woman collected her jewelry and returned her money after some arguments that early morning.
Honestly, the time has come when men need to fight female if they actually love them as they claim. It is for the reason of nudity that so many churches keep guards at their entrances to stop those who would violate the orders on decent dressing. Yet, nothing much has been achieved in that regard. After the pretense of covering up in the church, ladies who enjoy nudity, as applauded by their men, come back and continue from where they stopped.
Earlier this year, a drama played out at Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, Ogun State, where female students checked for inappropriate dressing before being allowed into the examination hall. Several other tertiary institutions have adopted this and have started to implement strict regulations on indecent dressing among students. Since religious bodies and educational institutions have done their bit, the men who aid these ladies should be involved in the fight. The so-called politicians who admire and enjoy nude female celebrities should caution themselves. Men will always be the reason for the increasing case of nudity. These celebrities go half-naked to impress the men who also reciprocate by loading them with luxury lifestyles. Otherwise, why are the male actors not so rich like the women?
On this issue of men appreciating and enjoying the sight of naked girls on social media, I once asked my male colleagues why they look away from nude women. Some said this: “I will not remove my eyes because the girl gave me a reason to look at her by uploading her nude picture online. At the same time, she enjoys the attention and film show she has drawn to herself on her page. If she did not upload her nude photos, we would not have seen it. But since she chose to advertise herself on social media, we will help her and comment on her page.”
Dear men, I still believe a lot is within you to do as far as nudity is concerned. Women do not upload nude photos for fellow women to admire them. All that is to attract the men. If men could chide the ladies in the comment section about the nude photos, it would help society. Some night clubs hold what they call “Nude Night” which they advertise on posters and billboards with the nude pictures of ladies. Nude pictures of men are not used to promote or publicise such clubs. Such photos are used to attract men. Therefore, there is an urgent need by the men to help curb the increasing rate of female nudity instead of encouraging it.
