Obi Iyiegbu, born on April 12, 1975, is the Chairman CEO of House of Cubana, Caledonian Suites, Furniture Royal, and Ibiza, Cubana Suites.

In collaboration with his amiable wife, Ebele Iyiegbu, Obi kicked off KIEK Foundation – A Non-Governmental Organization focused on making better the lives of less privileged children in Nigeria and Africa at large.

The Oba, Anambra State-born philanthropist is a Political Science graduate from the reputable University Of Nigeria Nsukka, whose love for children inspired the establishment of KIEK Foundation.

Obi Iyiegbu, as the Co-Founder of KIEK Foundation, doesn’t shy away from telling whoever cares to listen of his passionate plans to take Nigerian children off the streets and offer them proper education.

For Obi Iyiegbu, the Foundation is focused at sending over 1,000 children who have been out of school for one reason or the other, back to school to encourage them to get the best of life.

‘Our major focus is education because when you are educated, you will be able to eradicate poverty and be all that you want to become.

‘We are thinking of getting ten thousand children back to school. In a few years to come, we want to see the foundation having branches in other parts of the country and before six years to have branches in Africa.

‘For the wellbeing of the children, we also conduct hospital visitations during which we pay for those stranded,’ he said in a recent interview.

Obi Iyiegbu’s palpable compassion for the less privileged and his passion for humanitarian work also prompted other projects lined up for the KIEK Foundation which includes skill acquisition, talent hunt, and sports competition between IDP Camps.

From testimonies of people close to him, Obi Iyiegbu is a cheerful giver and has touched many lives.

Despite the unpleasant state of the economy, Obi Iyiegbu has also shown that he can, despite the downturn in the economy, offer a lot of succour to jobless people. At least not less than one thousand people are employed in his different establishments spread all over the country.

The happily married father of four has won several awards for his philanthropy which includes and not limited to Democracy Heroes Award (2018) as Democracy Entrepreneur of the Year, The RightVille School Special Leadership Award (May 2017), Ghana-Nigeria Achievers Award (2017) as Inspiring Personality, Northern Nigeria Peace Summit/Award (2017) as Northern Nigeria Peace Builder of the Year, and Nigeria Film corporation Entertainment as Icon Award (2017).
