Helen Segunfunmi-Olajide is a prophet, teacher of God’s word and the founder of Helen Tomwest Ministries. Her ministry was birthed after she embarked on a 30 day period of fasting and prayer.
Narrating her story,the anointed woman of God said: “In January 2020, during my time in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), I embarked on a 30-day period of fasting and prayer, seeking God’s guidance for the next phase of my life. While my initial prayers were centered around my personal desires and immediate needs, a remarkable turning point occurred on the 22nd day of this spiritual journey. For the first time, I experienced the visitation of the Holy Spirit, unmistakably marked by the gift of speaking in tongues. During this divine encounter, I heard the voice of God instructing me to “tear up my prayer lists and seek Him first, and in doing so, everything on that list would be granted.
This profound experience radically transformed the trajectory of my life. My desires and passions shifted, aligning with a profound commitment to live for my Lord and fulfill His divine will.Subsequently, in April 2020, I initiated a series of short inspirational videos that I shared on my Facebook page, which, at the time, had fewer than one thousand followers. Two significant events unfolded during this period: a remarkable increase in Facebook followership and engagement, and a deepening of my spiritual connection with God. At that time, my Facebook handle was “Helen Tomwest.”
Under the divine guidance of the Holy Spirit, I received a vision in August of the same year that led to the conception of a ministry. Consequently, I changed the name of my Facebook page to “Helen Tomwest Ministries.” By April 2021, the ministry was officially registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) to the glory of God”.
Shedding light on the core of the ministry, she said: “At the heart of Helen Tomwest Ministries lies a profound emphasis on the message of Truth and the cultivation of a personal relationship with God. This fundamental belief is anchored in the words of Jesus, as found in John 14:6, where He declared, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
The core message of Jesus resonates as the ultimate Truth, serving as the pathway to establishing and nurturing a profound and personal connection with God. Central to God’s divine desire is the earnest yearning for every individual to foster an intimate and direct relationship with the Creator”.
On how the online space has helped the spread and impact of the ministry, she said:”Helen Tomwest Ministries (HTM) operates predominantly as an online ministry with a resounding mandate to bring the gospel of Truth directly to people. Our programs are meticulously designed to cater to individuals from diverse backgrounds and varying spiritual needs.
Every Monday night, we conduct a prophetic service known as the “Monday Night of Prophecy,” during which profound spiritual insights and revelations are shared. On Tuesdays, we host a dynamic “Question and Answers Segment,” where participants can engage in live calls, pose their questions, and receive thoughtful answers.
Thursdays are dedicated to “The Truth Segment,” where we delve into the profound wisdom contained within God’s Word and emphasize the importance of cultivating personal relationships with God.Fridays are allocated six hours solely for counseling sessions, providing individuals with the opportunity to directly reach out to Prophet Helen for guidance, support, and fervent prayers.Finally, Saturdays are reserved for our “Dreams Interpretation Program,” offering individuals a unique opportunity to have their dreams interpreted by the guiding wisdom of the Holy Spirit. Through these diverse programs, HTM strives to reach and serve a broad spectrum of spiritual seekers and believers”.
Expressing the impact the ministry has made, she said: “HTM’s online broadcasts have indeed left an indelible mark on countless lives across the globe, with numerous heartwarming testimonies of their profound influence on individuals and families.
The extent of their engagement and impact becomes evident with every program and video presentation. Several of our videos have achieved virality, amassing millions of views. Most notably, a recent video on dream interpretation garnered over 4 million views organically, devoid of any promotional efforts.
Furthermore, the ministry’s presence on various social media platforms is a testament to its expansive reach and influence. Our Facebook page has burgeoned to encompass a staggering 392,000 fervent followers, while Instagram boasts an impressive community of 23,000 followers. Additionally, TikTok has seen an incredible surge in followers, amassing a dedicated audience of 189,000 enthusiasts, among other thriving platforms”.
