MedxVerse Telemedicine & Virtual Care Ltd, a Nigerian health technology company, has launched a digital healthcare platform aimed at improving access to medical services across Africa.

The company, incorporated on September 3, 2025, said its platform integrates telemedicine, pharmacy services and diagnostic support into a single system.

Africa continues to face significant healthcare challenges, including limited access to specialists, high out-of-pocket costs and delays in diagnosis, particularly in rural areas.

The continent also accounts for a large share of the global disease burden despite a relatively small healthcare workforce.

MedxVerse’s platform allows users to consult doctors remotely through video, voice or text, receive prescriptions, order medications and access laboratory services. It also enables users to store medical records digitally.

The platform includes an artificial intelligence assistant designed to provide symptom guidance, schedule appointments and send medication reminders, while referring complex cases to medical professionals.

The company said it has onboarded more than 2,000 users since its initial rollout and is expanding its services across Nigeria. It is also developing partnerships with pharmacies, laboratories and healthcare providers.

Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Ogunsakin Timilehin Seyi Adeleke, said the platform is focused on improving access to healthcare services through technology.

The launch comes as digital health solutions continue to grow across Africa, driven by increasing mobile penetration and demand for more accessible healthcare services.
