The Managing Director, Sokoto Rima River Basin Development Authority (SRRBA), Alhaji Abubakar Mallam, has commended the Emir of Zuru, Alhaji Muhammad Sanusi Mika’ilu Sami Gomo III, for his commitment to the society’s development and expressed confidence in his ability to take the emirate to greater heights.
Mallam, who stated this during his visit to the emir, noted that the general public consider the monarch’s qualities, commitment to his people, and his good human relations as assets for the emirate’s development.
He said: “We know that the emir’s international business connections are expected to attract investments and opportunities for the emirate. With all the support from technocrats, retired generals, and influential individuals, I am confident that His Royal Highness would provide guidance and expertise towards the development of the emirate”.
The MD of the Sokoto Rima Basin Authority also praised Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, for his prompt approval of the emir’s appointment, describing it as a clear endorsement by Allah.
He urged the people of Zuru to support the new emir and remain committed to the governor’s development initiatives.
He said: “I have no doubt in the total support of the people for Governor Nasir Idris, in view of the remarkable projects and programmes executed in the emirate within a short period of two years”.
Mallam appealed to the people to remain committed, focused and never allow themselves to be deceived by the desperate, ambitious and worthless politicians with no record of service delivery for the well-being of the people.
