A 41-year-old man, Donte Lamont Brown, has gunned down his estranged girlfriend, Tameeka ‘La’Von’ Hall, 45, and her daughter Ma’Laysia ‘Lay Lay’ Martin, 22, in California, United States.
The incident occurred at a red light in Compton, in southern Los Angeles County on Tuesday, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.
Investigators believe the suspect
‘drove up alongside the victims in their vehicle while it was stopped at the signal light’ and opened fire, fatally injuring them.
Both victims were pronounced dead on the scene.
Brown immediately fled the scene and has since gone into hiding.
It is unclear what led to the shooting.
Police said the suspect is considered armed and dangerous and asked the public to volunteer information that could lead to his arrest.
