Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has commiserated with the President, Sword of the Spirit Ministries, and the President, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria(PFN), Bishop Wale Oke, on the demise of his mother, Mrs Elizabeth Areola Oke, at the age of 97.
The governor, who paid a condolence visit to the Bishop at home in Ibadan, appreciated God that the matriarch of the Oke family, lived a good and fulfilled life worthy of emulation before returning to her maker.
Makinde described the deceased as a blessed woman, whose womb was privileged to birth great children, whose lives have impacted humanity positively, both within Nigeria and around the globe.
He enjoined the Bishop and the rest of the family to take heart and give thanks to God for making Mama live to a ripe old age of 97years.
The Governor further used the opportunity to assure the Bishop and the generality of the Oyo State populace of his steadfast commitment to the welfare and development of the people of the state.
He said he and his team had been working tirelessly to put in place a formidable foundation upon to make Oyo State an economically viable State in the nearest future.
In his response, Bishop Oke, on behalf of the family, thanked the governor for the honour of taking time out of his busy schedule to condole with him and his family on the loss of the matriarch of the Oke family.
He assured the governor of continuous support and fervent prayer to God for his success and for the emergence of a credible and God- fearing successor, who would further take the state to greater heights.
